A Leader for All

Marlena R. Cooper is a community engagement professional, small business owner, and economic development advocate running for Longview City Council in District 3. With nearly 20 years of experience in construction management, code enforcement, and public works consulting, Marlena understands how cities build infrastructure, manage growth, and invest in neighborhoods.

She lives here. She works here. She's ready to deliver real results for District 3.

Meet Marlena

Marlena's approach is centered on understanding the diverse needs of the community. She listens, strategizes, and implements policies that uplift everyone. Here's a glimpse into her approach:

Neighborhood Safety & Infrastructure

District 3 is the oldest part of Longview. Our streets, drainage systems, and lighting reflect decades of deferred investment. I will prioritize infrastructure repairs, better street lighting, and accountability in how our tax dollars are spent on the ground where we live.

Real Priorities. Real Plans. Real Results.

Smart Economic Growth Along Eastman Rd., MLK & Mobberly Ave.

The corridors of Martin Luther King Blvd, Eastman Road, and Mobberly Avenue are the economic backbone of District 3. I will work to ignite local business development along these corridors, attract responsible investment, and ensure our community benefits from Longview's growth not just watches it happen elsewhere.

Connecting Residents to Resources and Information

Too many District 3 residents don't know what resources are available to them or how city government actually works. I will create direct lines of communication between residents and city hall, make information accessible, and ensure no neighbor is left behind because they didn't know where to turn.

Community Investment & Beautification

From our parks and public spaces to cultural programming and neighborhood pride District 3 deserves visible investment. I will work to expand opportunities for youth and seniors, support the Cultural Arts, and build partnerships with institutions like LeTourneau University to create programming and opportunity right here in our community.

LETS BUILD TOGETHER! #d3 aRE yOU wITH mE?
